The Wooden Wind Turbine is the horizontal version of RedPower's windmills. It is more expensive than the Wooden Windmill but also produces more energy. Attach it to a Kinetic Generator facing up (by right clicking the generator and placing the turbine in the GUI) with plenty of space; the turbine is 7x7x7, the bottom of which is centered around its axle on top of the generator. The turbine only functions if the Kinetic Generator is facing up, there is currently no way to make it function while the hole is facing down. The turbine itself is transparent, solar panels have no problem accessing the sun if placed underneath it.
