ChickenChunks
ChickenChunks is a mod which introduces two new types of block: the Chunk Loader and the Spot Loader. These blocks keep chunks loaded into memory constantly, much like Railcraft's World Anchor. In addition, it is much more configurable than its contemporaries, as it has a GUI to configure the chunk loading. It also loads chunks for free, unlike the World Anchor which requires Ender Pearls. The Chunk Loader is also 100% compatible with RedPower 2's Frames
Chunk Loader
The Chunk Loader allows players to keep chunks loaded into memory constantly. Also, once open, the GUI can be used to configure the loading radius and the shape of chunks to be loaded (Square, Circle, Line X, Line Z). Players can also visually see the chunks being loaded - to achieve that, press the 'Show Lasers' button. In addition, the Chunk Loader is owned locally by the player who placed it, so the block cannot be configured by anyone except the owner of the block.
Hooking a redstone signal to this block will turn it off.

Spot Loader
The Spot Loader is very similar to the Chunk Loader except it does not have a GUI. Instead, it only keeps the single chunk it's in loaded. This block is also 100% compatible with Frames.
As with the Chunk Loader, hooking a Redstone signal to this block will turn it off as well.
