Peat is a basic fuel created by a Peat Bog and Turbary that can be used to power Peat Fired Engines or burned in a Furnace. Peat is a renewable source of fuel produced from Bog Earth which is created in a Carpenter or using water containers in normal crafting recipes.

The Peat Bog

Needs to be powered by a BuildCraft compatible engine.

A Peat Bog will maintain an area of 15x15x1 (X-Y-Z) with a 7x7 hollow center centered on the Peat Bog. It requires Bog Earth for operation and produces dirt as waste. Dirt is automatically ejected into attached buildcraft pipes or into adjacent chests.

Crafting

Ingredients:

•4 x Copper Ingot
•1 x Sturdy Machine
•4 x Glass

Produces: 1 x Peat Bog

After placing the Peat Bog, adding peat to it, and attaching a BuildCraft compatible engine, the machine will create the peat farm/bog itself. This requires some time, as the machine must clear the dimensions listed above to place the blocks need.
