The Material Emancipation Grid is a work-in-progress item added by the Portal Gun Mod. It is currently unusable. When attempting to use it, a message will appear, saying "I told you not to use it!".

Previously, placing two Material Emancipation Grids would create a configurable field affecting the player or entities in various ways, such as, for example, deleting a player's inventory, erasing his portals, destroying living entities. They would emit a light level of 8. It is unknown whether these features will be retained or not, or in which way the Material Emancipation Grid will be modified in future versions of the mod.
