The Fusion Energy Injector is a machine added by GregTech as part of the overhaul of the Fusion Reactor system introduced in GregTech Version 2.82c. The Fusion Energy Injector is an integral component of the Fusion Reactor Multiblock Structure and an important part of starting a reactor and keeping it functional. Each Injector holds a maximum of 10,000,000 EU and can accept power in voltages up to 8192 EU/packet. It is also alone among the machines that make up the Fusion Reactor Multiblock Structure with the possibly to install an upgrade, specifically only available is the Pneumatic Generator Upgrade, which may be installed onto each individual injector, giving it a storage capacity of 10,000,000 MJ.

Usage

As every individual nuclear fusion reaction drains a certain number of EU/tick from the Fusion Reactor Multiblock, and because the new Fusion Reactor does not output any EU of its own, it is necessary to resupply the Injectors with power at a rate greater than or equal to the rate at which their power is being lost. Generally, one or two Plasma Generators are wired up to the Injectors and given access to some of the Helium Plasma, making the reactor self-sufficient for power.

It may be necessary to install additional Injectors into the Fusion Reactor Multiblock than are recommended on the schematic image on the Fusion Reactor page, but generally only if one intends to use fusion to create matter. If a person is curious about additional within the structure where these will be functional, right click the Fusion Control Computer to access its GUI which contains a 2-dimensional schematic of all possible locations for machines being placed within the Multiblock.
