The Invert Cell is one of numerous blocks added by RedPower 2 to simplify Redstone circuitry. There are two wires in the Invert Cell, the bottom wire and the top wire. The bottom wire controls the top wire in this cell. If the bottom wire is powered, then the top wire is non-powered, and if the bottom wire is non-powered, the top wire is powered. This is the origin of the name of the Invert Cell, as the signal of the bottom wire is inverted and transferred to the top wire. A similar operation could be accomplished by a simple NOT gate; however, this allows for other compact and simplified Redstone functions.
