Name Handsaw
Type Sub Blocks
Stackable No
Mod Included RedPower2

The Handsaw is a RedPower2 tool which can be used to cut solid blocks into Micro Blocks. These components can then be used to decorate or build certain things. Two or more components can be put back together using a handsaw. The type of component crafted depends on the handsaw position in the crafting table.

Recipe

Tool Type Uses

Iron Handsaw

The Iron Handsaw may cut only the following types of blocks:

  • Wooden Planks
  • Dirt
  • Clay
  • Bookshelf
  • Netherrack
  • Soul Sand
  • Wood
  • Snow
  • Pumpkin
  • Wool
  • Rubberwood

Gem Handsaw

The Gem Handsaws may cut the above blocks, plus the following:

  • Cobblestone
  • Stone
  • Sandstone
  • Moss Stone
  • Brick
  • Glass
  • Polished Stone
  • Iron
  • Gold
  • Lapis Lazuli
  • Stone Brick
  • Nether Brick
  • Marble
  • Marble Brick
  • Basalt
  • Basalt Cobblestone
  • Basalt Brick

Diamond Handsaw

The Diamond Handsaw may cut the above blocks, plus the following:

  • Obsidian
  • Diamond Block
  • Ruby Block
  • Sapphire Block
  • Emerald Block

It is also the only saw capable of cutting Silicon Boules ; therefore, the Diamond Handsaw is critical to many RedPower2 recipes.

Usage

Blocks

These can be combined horizontally in any way to make a block of any eighth thickness.

1/8 - Cover
1/4 - Panel
3/8 - Triple Cover
1/2 - Slab
5/8 - Cover Slab
3/4 - Triple Panel
7/8 - Anticover
8/8 - Block

Hollow Blocks

There are hollow versions of slabs, panels, covers, etc. To make them, cut your desired block into cover blocks (or whatever thickness you prefer) and arrange the microblocks in a chest format. To put wires through a hollow block hold down ctrl and f while placing the wire through it. (This seems to work only with redpower wires; unconfirmed).

Currently, in version 3.1.3, hollow blocks appear to be broken and unable to be made.

Strips

Two same-sized strips placed horizontally can be glued back together to make the corresponding block.

Corners

Two Corner pieces stacked vertically can be glued back together to make the corresponding Strip.
