A Pulse Former. The left side is input, the right side is output.

A Pulse Former is a Redstone device that, upon receiving a Redstone signal from its input side, briefly outputs power. The pulse is sent instantaneously, which also makes it useful as a fast repeater, and because the pulse is so short, placing two back to back allows pulses to be sent in both directions.

The placement of Redstone dust and torches on the Pulse Former depicts a Redstone circuit that would function the same as a Pulse Former, although would take up several blocks.

Same as other logic gates, Pulse Former can be placed on all six sides of a block.
