Basalt Bricks are a black charcoal-colour alternative to Marble Bricks. It is creeper-resistant and decorative, crafted from four Basalt. With access to a Volcano, these are a cheaper alternative to Obsidian's blast resistance. Four of the bricks can be crafted into four Chiseled Basalt Brick.
